The YaMoRC YD6016LN-GND is a versatile feedback module with 16 inputs, which switches specifically to ground. It is ideal for reporting track occupancy, detecting contacts such as reeds, switches or buttons and works via the LocoNet and S88 (IN) interfaces. This module offers many advantages, especially for model railroaders who rely on stable feedback with good interference suppression.

Technology & range of functions

The 16 inputs are divided into two groups of eight channels each, each of which has a common earth connection ("C"). Each input has a capacitive filter to suppress interference, e.g. from antenna effects on long cables. The input sensitivity is around 1 mA current consumption. The current carrying capacity is up to approx. 2 A per input and a maximum of approx. 8 A across all channels. Short-term overloads are possible (e.g. peak values over 5 A for a few ms).

Connection, expansion & configuration

The module is connected via LocoNet, using the two LocoNet sockets. There is also an S88N-IN connection that can be used to add up to five additional s88N feedback modules (with 16 inputs each) to achieve a total of up to 96 feedback signals via one unit. The "ES-IN Link" is also supported for expansion with YaMoRC ES/IO-Link compatible modules and for configuration. The firmware can be updated via USB. Settings such as addresses, on/off delays per input can be set individually.

Application & use

Ideally used in scenarios with many track sections, closed staging yards or places where a lot of sensory feedback is required. The ground circuit makes the module particularly suitable for Märklin 3-light circuit AC systems and others that require ground-based feedback. Interference suppression by filters and the possibility of addressing make the YD6016LN-GND a robust module for reliable feedback.
