YaMoRC YD6940 2-port adapters for connecting turnouts motors Product Details

Description

YaMoRC YD6940 Dual-Output to Motor Interface – 2-port adapter for connecting turnout motors

The YaMoRC YD6940 is a set of two adapters specifically designed to control turnout motors and actuators that require polarity reversal. These “Dual-Output Motor Interface” adapters are ideal for operating motor or solenoid drives that cannot be controlled using standard outputs. With a current capacity of up to 3 A per adapter, they are also suitable for more powerful motors.

Applications and Compatibility

The adapters are compatible with various turnout motors, such as those from Conrad, Hoffmann, Tillig, Fulgurex, or Tortoise. Magnetic drives, such as those from Kato, can also be controlled via the YD6940 in combination with YaMoRC decoders like the YD8008 or YD8044.

Technical Details & Special Features

Each of the two adapters can handle currents of up to 3 A. They ensure that the direction of the current is reversed when the turnout or a servomotor is moved from one side to the other (polarity reversal). This also allows for the safe operation of servo motors that require a switch from “straight” to “branch” via polarity-reversing control. Their ease of implementation makes them a useful solution for applications where turnout motors or other motor drives with polarity control are used.
