YaMoRC YD7432 polarity reverser

The YaMoRC YD7432 is a powerful polarity or reverser block ("Reverse Loop Module") for model railroad layouts, which was specially developed to safely reverse the polarity of track sections, e.g. in reversing loops or for track sections with alternating polarity. It offers modern semiconductor technology, reliable feedback and flexible configuration options.

Technology and safety

This module operates completely without mechanical relays and uses semiconductor circuits to enable polarity changes without short circuits - typically by means of two sensors that detect when a track section needs to be reversed or on the basis of feedback from track occupancy detectors. An alternative short-circuit detection mode is integrated in order to react reliably even in the case of unclean track sections. It also integrates RailCom functionalities so that block, address and direction of travel information can be read out.

Flexibility & protocols

The YD7432 supports various variants for triggering the polarity change: via turnout setting ("turnout") on entry or exit, via track occupancy message from outside (e.g. via LocoNet), or directly with internal sensors. Feedback functions are available - both for track polarity and for short-circuit status. ES-Link can be used for configuration. Firmware updates are possible, which supports future expansions.
