The YaMoRC YD8044 is a powerful solenoid turnout decoder with four independently switchable outputs, integrated CDU for power supply during current peaks and automatic frog polarization ("frog supply"). Developed for system operators with many magnetic points who require a powerful switching power supply without having to constantly use expensive external auxiliary components.
Each of the four outputs can control high-current magnetic switches - typical values: 9.5 amps per output. A Smart-CDU with 9,400 µF capacity ensures that sufficient power is available for switching the points without overloading boosters or other current limiters. The current consumption when charging the CDU remains at a moderate level (approx. 380 mA).
The decoder has a 2-amp relay that can also polarize the frog at the same time as the outputs for the points. This prevents incorrect polarity from occurring at the frog when setting the points. This makes the operation of magnetic points much easier, especially when several points, crossings or track junctions are involved.
The basic setting is made simply by pressing the programming button and actively switching a turnout address - no complicated CV programs required. For more advanced settings, ES-Link can be used, also with YaMoRC configuration tools such as YD9101 or YD7100. These tools can be used to precisely set address assignments, pulse length and delay times.
