YaMoRC YD8291 4× Servo Interface for YD8248

The YaMoRC YD8291 is an expansion module for the YD8248 and allows you to connect four additional servos—so with two of these expansion modules, you can control up to twelve servos simultaneously via a single YD8248. Ideal for model railroaders who need a lot of positioning movements but don’t want to purchase a completely new decoder.

How It Works & Compatibility with YD8248

The YD8291 interface provides four additional servo outputs that connect to the YD8248. This expands the capacity of the base module in a modular fashion. It is particularly suitable when you need many small servos—for example, for signals or track sections—and do not want to overload your existing setup.

Technical Specifications & Application

The expansion module is compact and easy to integrate into the existing system. Multiple YD8291 interfaces can be used to further increase the number of servos. It is important to ensure that the YD8248 has sufficient power when additional servos are used, as they draw more current when in motion. Displays and outputs are controlled via MOSFET technology, and all outputs are freely configurable. Basic setup is performed using the standard programming button on the YD8248.
