Bemo 1398131 H0m E-Lok Ge 4/4 181, RhB, Ep. II, DC-Sound Product Details

Bemo 1398131 H0m electric locomotive Ge 4/4 181, RhB, Ep. II, DC sound - The legendary Bernina freight locomotive as a detailed collector's model

Are you a lover of historic narrow gauge locomotives? Then the Bemo Ge 4/4 181 is exactly the right model for your collection or H0m layout. This fine Metal Collection model shows the legendary freight locomotive of the former Bernina Railway in the condition of the 1960s - rich in detail, sonorous and unique in its history.

From the Ge 6/6 to the Ge 4/4 - a unique technical specimen

In 1916, the Bernina Railway put a heavy six-axle freight locomotive into service, the Ge 6/6 81. Its striking running gear with a central magnetic rail brake and bogies driven by traction rods made it a one-off. In 1928/29 it was converted by SLM Winterthur to four-axle bogies with blind shafts. In 1961, it received its new operating number as Ge 4/4 181 - now in service with the RhB.

A piece of railroad history - now as a model in the Metal Collection

This exclusive small series model made of white metal and brass is a tribute to a genuine one-off. The Ge 4/4 181 was in service on the Bernina line until 1965 and is now operational on the Blonay-Chamby museum railroad. The model shows the locomotive in the condition of its last active use on RhB tracks - with the characteristic Bernina look and full technical equipment.

Technically sophisticated implementation - for true connoisseurs

The bell-type armature motor drives all axles, the center frame can be moved sideways and is spring-mounted - for the best driving characteristics. The locomotive has a sound decoder with Next18 interface, LED headlights (3+1 white), cab lighting and digital sound functions. Cannot be converted to H0e - this model is consistently designed for H0m.

Secure it now - the Ge 4/4 181 as a powerful-sounding individual item in your collection
