Conversion Instead of New Construction: Recycling on the Rails

In 2020, the RhB began converting older sliding-wall cars from the Haiqq-tuyz 5173–5176 series. These were converted into the Sb-v 65691–65694 container cars—each equipped with a permanently mounted Y 11623-type refrigerated container. These cars remained largely unchanged technically and retained their continuous heating coupling line, which is clearly visible in the platform area.

Advertising on rails—with Traveco branding

While all four cars in the first conversion series are officially assigned to Volg Transport, they were fitted with various advertising posters—including one for Traveco, the logistics partner for temperature-controlled transport on the Graubünden network. Accordingly, the Sb-v 65691 features the clean, modern Traveco design on its white container—a highlight for modern Era VI model trains.

High-quality model with prototypical construction

With a length over buffers of 168.1 mm, the car is ideal for H0m layouts and fully operational with a minimum curve radius of 330 mm. The model impresses with its finely detailed platform structures, precise printing, and permanently mounted containers.
