ESU 31570 H0 diesel locomotive V100 1063, DB, Ep.III, DC+AC-Sound Product Details
ESU 31570 H0 Diesel locomotive V100 1063, DB, Ep. III, DC/AC sound - Locomotive sound powerhouse with history
With the ESU 31570, the manufacturer is bringing a real highlight for Era III fans to the H0 rails: the V100 1063 of the Deutsche Bundesbahn in the version of the V100.10 series. This model combines outstanding prototypical fidelity with the latest digital technology - including LokSound 5, motorized fan wheel, digitally switchable coupling and much more.
The little sister of the V200 - the history of the V100
Developed from 1958 as a light diesel locomotive for branch line service, the V100.10 with 1,100 hp became the new backbone of the diesel network for many DB applications. With a compact body, good shunting characteristics and a powerful Mercedes engine, it quickly became a proven all-purpose locomotive. The V100 1063 is one of the 364 series locomotives built that hauled countless types of trains in Era III - from passenger trains to light freight trains.
Top class technology from ESU
The locomotive body and frame are made of metal, which ensures excellent running characteristics. The locomotive is powered by a bell-shaped armature motor with a flywheel and cardan/worm gearing on all four axles - two of them with traction tires. A special highlight is the situationally rotating fan wheel in the long front end, which is controlled synchronously with the LokSound 5 decoder.
Digital, realistic, impressive
Thanks to the LokSound 5 decoder (DCC, Motorola®, M4, Selectrix) with RailComPlus®/mfx® support, the locomotive is suitable for all modern digital command stations. The switchable smoke generator is synchronized with the engine sound. Brake sparks at abrupt stops, curve sensor-based squealing noises and sound of the highest quality via the large double loudspeaker make the locomotive an acoustic experience.
Comfort & attention to detail as standard
Included: PowerPack for uninterruptible power supply, digitally switchable cab and driver's desk lighting, separately attached grab rails, openwork steps, magnetically held roof (removable!) and a finely detailed driver's figure in the driver's cab. In addition, the headlights can be switched on individually and realistically.
Universal electronics for all track systems
A changeover switch allows operation on both 2-conductor DC and 3-conductor AC (alternating current). This makes the locomotive equally suitable for Märklin and DC systems - no conversion is required.
