Design & workmanship
The 218 218-6 was built by Krupp in 1974 and marked the beginning of a new era in the design of the 218 series. As usual, the lettering, proportions and surface structure have been faithfully reproduced by Fleischmann down to the smallest detail.
Technical features & special functions

For example, the tail light can be deactivated via DIP switches - ideal for multiple traction or push-pull operation. The integrated driver's cab lighting can be switched separately in digital mode. As the first 218 in the new livery, the locomotive was assigned to the Nuremberg depot and operated from Regensburg depot in southern Germany.
