Design & workmanship
The model is based on the current ICE 4 of Deutsche Bahn AG and impresses with its fine printing, authentic design and modern technology. The train consists of four units: two control cars, a motorized middle car and a car with a functional pantograph. The typical Kato quality of workmanship ensures precise fits, smooth running and long-lasting operational reliability.
Technical features & special functions
The five-pole motor with flywheel mass ensures smooth and powerful running characteristics. Metal-bearing axles ensure effective power consumption - ideal for retrofitting with interior lighting. The lights change automatically from white to red, depending on the direction of travel. The Kato couplings between the carriages ensure a secure hold and easy handling.
