Description

LGB 23105 G E-Lok HGe 4/4 II, MGB, Ep. VI, DC-MFX-Sound Product Details

LGB 23105 - G Electric locomotive HGe 4/4 II No. 3 "DOM", MGB (Era VI)

The LGB 23105 represents the modern, powerful electric locomotive HGe 4/4 II No. 3 "DOM" of the Matterhorn-Gotthard Railway (MGB) - including the eye-catching employee advertising on both sides, which makes the model a real eye-catcher. This locomotive is one of the best-known machines in Alpine rail transport in Switzerland and is used in both adhesion and cogwheel operation - for example on the Glacier Express route or in the Furka Tunnel.

Since its introduction in the 1980s, the HGe 4/4 II has been regarded as the benchmark for narrow-gauge cogwheel locomotives. Even after extensive modernization, it remains a technical highlight on the MGB mountain lines. The LGB model now brings this impressive technology to your garden railroad in an exact replica.

Technical details & equipment

The model is driven by two ball-bearing motors that move all four wheel sets and two traction cogwheels. The real cogwheel drive allows true-to-original operation on tracks with grades of up to 12% - when using the LGB rack 10210 and rack holders 10220.

The locomotive has an mfx/DCC decoder with numerous sound and light functions. The roof pantographs are powered and can be controlled digitally. An integrated energy storage unit ensures reliable operation even with short power interruptions. The driving sound is already functional in analog operation.

Design & true to the original

The locomotive is painted true to the original in the current Era VI design, including the different, elaborately designed employee advertisements on both sides. Length over buffers: 67 cm. The detailed reproduction, including the cab area, roof superstructure and running gear, ensures a realistic appearance on your layout.

Who is this model suitable for?

The LGB 23105 is aimed at ambitious garden railroaders, alpine fans and collectors of modern narrow gauge railroads. It is ideal for use in mountain landscapes with cogwheel tracks, in cross-country operation or in use with Glacier Express or MGB car loading trains.
