LGB 24602 G E-Lok Ge 4/6 355, RhB, Ep. I, DC-MFX-Sound Product Details
Pioneer of electrification - LGB RhB electric locomotive Ge 4/6 355
With the LGB 24602 Ge 4/6 electric locomotive, you can get a technical monument to the early electrification of the Rhaetian Railroad on your model railroad layout. This detailed model with the road number 355 has a true-to-original design of Era I - a real collector's item for all fans of historic railroad technology. Manufactured on a scale of 1:22.5, the locomotive impresses with modern digital technology and an authentic appearance.
The story behind the Ge 4/6
The Rhaetian Railway was already planning to electrify its lines around 1900 - a visionary step at a time when electric traction was still in its infancy. The line from Bever to Scuol was chosen as the test route. Between 1912 and 1914, Schweizerische Lokomotiv- und Maschinenfabrik (SLM) delivered several Ge 4/6 locomotives together with MFO, including number 355. Originally painted in green, these locomotives were later repainted in the typical brown. They proved themselves in service for decades and remained active into the 1970s despite being planned for retirement.
True to the original in Era I
The LGB model reproduces the electric locomotive Ge 4/6 355 in the design of Era I - with the classic green paint scheme and all relevant lettering. The delicate reproduction and authentic proportions make this locomotive a real eye-catcher. Two movable scissor pantographs with digital drive are also included and raise and lower in digital operation.
Powerful drive and reliable technology
All four driving wheel sets are driven by two powerful motors, with traction tires providing additional traction. The integrated mfx/DCC decoder allows the use of numerous light and sound functions, including direction-dependent headlights and cab lighting. An energy storage unit ensures uninterrupted operation even with short contact interruptions - ideal for demanding driving conditions.
Elegance in a compact form
With a length over buffers of 50 cm, the locomotive is a compact but eye-catching vehicle on your garden railroad. It is particularly well suited for depicting early RhB electric train formations and goes very well with other vehicles in the style of Era I.
Scope of delivery
The set includes the RhB Ge 4/6 electric locomotive, road number 355, ready for operation. The locomotive has a built-in mfx/DCC decoder, two digitally controllable pantographs, energy storage, and complete lighting and sound equipment.

The LGB 24602 Ge 4/6 is a real highlight for model railroaders with a passion for early electric locomotives. It combines a historic look with state-of-the-art technology and is a must for anyone who wants to recreate a piece of pioneering railroad history on their layout.
