The LGB 28447 is a detailed model of the Rhaetian Railroad (RhB) electric locomotive Ge 4/4 II with road number 611. With 2,300 HP and a maximum speed of 90 km/h, these locomotives are the backbone of the RhB electric transportation network and are used in front of almost all types of trains - from regional traffic to the world-famous Glacier Express.
The model shows locomotive 611 in its present form: technically modernized with angular headlights, but in the historic dark green paintwork of Era IV - an attractive contrast and a tribute to the origins of this locomotive series. The locomotive thus stylishly combines the past and present of the Swiss Alpine Railway.
Technical details & equipment
The locomotive is powered by two powerful motors that provide all four wheel sets with high tractive power. A built-in mfx/DCC decoder makes it possible to control numerous light and sound functions - ideal for realistic operation on digital garden railroad layouts.
Another highlight are the digitally controlled, motor-driven pantographs, which can be raised and lowered realistically. In addition, an integrated energy storage unit ensures uninterrupted operation even in the event of a brief power loss.
