Liliput L162608 N Diesel locomotive V 245, MWB, Ep. V - Compact classic in gentian blue-yellow
With the Liliput L162608, Liliput is bringing a detailed model of the striking Mittelweserbahn (MWB) V 245 diesel locomotive to the model railroad in N scale. The locomotive is in 2001 condition, painted in the striking company colors gentian blue and yellow. Equipped for analog and digital operation, the shunting locomotive of the former class 332 impresses with its compact design, high level of detail and clean workmanship. A must for fans of modern branch line operations and private railroad companies of Era V.
From the Federal Railroad to the private railroad - the eventful history of a Köf
The history of the V 245 begins in 1963 when it was delivered to the German Federal Railroad by the Gmeinder company as Köf 11 028. In 1968, it was renamed 332 028-0. After more than 30 years of service on the German Federal Railways, it was handed over to Mittelweserbahn GmbH in 1999, where it was given a general overhaul and repainted in the striking MWB colors. In November 2003, it was transferred to Delmenhorst-Harpstedter Eisenbahn GmbH, where it is still in reliable service today as locomotive 10. The model depicts the condition of the locomotive during its time at MWB - a piece of living railroad history.
Detailed workmanship in N scale
The model of the V 245 impresses with its precise engravings, clean color separation and true-to-original lettering. Despite its compact length of just 49 mm, the locomotive offers a surprisingly high level of detail. The gentian blue body with yellow frame is based exactly on the prototype and brings fresh color contrasts to the layout.
For analog and digital - versatile use
The locomotive is designed for analogue operation, but can easily be digitized thanks to the integrated interface. It is ideal for shunting services, branch lines or industrial facilities in N scale. The V 245 also cuts a fine figure in light freight train service.
