Märklin 39220 H0 Class 218 Diesel Locomotive, PRESS, Ep. VI - Powerful Technology in a Traffic Blue Paint Scheme
The Märklin 39220 H0 class 218 diesel locomotive is a faithful reproduction of the class 218 of the Pressnitztalbahn mbH (PRESS) railroad construction and operating company. In service since 2020, this model is presented in the striking traffic blue paint scheme with the road number 218 057-0 (UIC no. 92 80 1218 462-0 D-PRESS).
Robust construction with fine details
The model impresses with a sturdy chassis and body made of metal. The attached grab irons are also made of metal and ensure excellent attention to detail. The prototypical roof design with large ventilator as well as the variable scoop arrangement set this model visually apart from previous versions of the BR 218.
High-quality digital technology with sound and light functions
Thanks to the built-in mfx digital decoder, the locomotive offers a variety of sound and light functions. For the first time, a BR 218 has a digitally switchable high beam and engine room lighting. The cab lighting can also be controlled separately.
