Märklin 55504 1 diesel locomotive DH 500 Ca OWE DH 63, Ep. IV, DC-MFX-Sound Product Details
Power for Lower Saxony - Märklin Gauge 1 Diesel Locomotive DH 500 Ca OWE DH 63
The Märklin 55504 is a powerful 1:32 scale diesel locomotive that represents the DH 63 locomotive of the Osthannoversche Eisenbahnen (OHE) - leased to the DB in Braunschweig around 1972. With extensive metal construction, mfx digital technology, a fully equipped engineer's cab, and telex couplers, this model is a real highlight for all gauge 1 fans with an appreciation for regional freight service in Era IV.
The prototype - DH 63 in the service of the German Federal Railroad
The OHE was known for its powerful shunting locomotives. The DH 63 was leased to the DB in Braunschweig and used there for heavy shunting and works traffic. The robust design and compact shape made the machine ideal for demanding applications on sidings and in distribution centers.
Model - pure metal with digital power
The complete locomotive body, frame, wheels and coupling rods are made of die-cast zinc. There are also numerous attached metal parts such as handle bars, windshield wipers, bell and brake lines. The locomotive is driven by a powerful motor on all axles. Thanks to the mfx digital decoder with parameterizable current memory, the locomotive continues to run safely even when contact is interrupted.
Light, sound and function at the highest level
The model has a digitally switchable three-light headlights with light change to red marker lights, warm white cab lighting and numerous sound functions. The doors of the driver's cab can be opened, inside there is a train driver figure and a detailed reproduction of the driver's cab equipment.
Telex coupler and high compatibility as standard
A remote-controlled telex coupling is fitted as standard at the front and rear - ideal for reliable use in shunting operations. This can be replaced with screw couplings (not included) if required. Minimum passable radius: 1,020 mm. Length over buffers: 27.8 cm. Weight: approx. 3.5 kg.
Scope of delivery
This is a fully equipped OHE DH 500 Ca diesel locomotive (DH 63 locomotive), Era IV, with a digital decoder, power storage, light and sound functions, metal construction, Telex couplers, cab details, and extensive equipment.
