The Märklin 55505 DH 500 Ca diesel locomotive is a detailed 1:32 scale model and represents a PTT (Swiss Postal, Telephone and Telegraph Company) works locomotive. The prototype - Powerful technology for the post station

In PTT railroad operations, the DH 500 Ca was responsible for shunting work and providing wagons at the Zurich postal station. The reliable Henschel locomotive performed these tasks powerfully and efficiently. Its compact dimensions coupled with high performance made it the ideal working machine for inner-city freight traffic.

Model - metal, precision and digital power

The newly designed model consists of a die-cast zinc body including chassis, wheels and coupling rods. There are also numerous attached metal parts such as handle bars, bell, windshield wipers and brake lines. The locomotive is equipped with an mfx digital decoder, parameterizable current storage and a high-performance motor with all-axle drive.

Realistic light and sound functions

The white LED triple headlights alternate digitally with the red marker lights. The driver's cab is also illuminated in warm white. Doors can be opened and the driver's cab is equipped with a prototypical driver figure. The sound functions round off the experience acoustically.

Shunting professional with telex coupler

A remote-controlled telex coupling is fitted as standard at the front and rear - ideal for realistic shunting operations. This can optionally be replaced with screw couplings (not included). Buffer beams are equipped with spring buffers and other details.

The locomotive is designed for Märklin Digital, mfx, DCC, AC and DC. It runs on a minimum radius of 1,020 mm. Length over buffers: 27.8 cm, weight: approx. 3.5 kg.
