The popular Famulus tractor was built at VEB Traktorenwerk Nordhausen between 1956 and 1967. The air-cooled 2-cylinder diesel with the designation RS 14/30 or RS 14/40 had an engine output of 30 to 40 hp.

The robust tractor was used everywhere in agriculture and on farms in the GDR. Even today, the occasional Famulus tractor with valid TÜV approval can still be found in the fields.
