With the Piko H0 EN57 multiple unit in the Koleje Dolnośląskie (KD) version, PIKO brings a defining vehicle of Polish regional transport to your model railway layout. The three-car multiple unit of the EN57 series was manufactured between 1961 and 1993 and could be found in almost every region of Poland. Today's use by regional operators such as KD (Lower Silesian Railways) shows its lasting importance in local transport in Era VI.

Model with numerous digital options

The train is designed as a complete, three-car unit with two cab cars (type 5B) and a center car (type 6A). The cab, interior, and destination lighting can be controlled digitally if a decoder is retrofitted. The two metal pantographs, realistically designed lamps and the harmonious interior design ensure the highest degree of prototypical fidelity. Thanks to the Scharfenberg coupler, double traction is possible without any problems.

EN57 - The backbone of Polish local transport

The EN57 is a genuine mass product of Polish railroad construction - robust, versatile and still in use today. It is still a familiar sight in cities such as Gdansk or on the Trójmieście suburban line. The Era VI variant of the KD shown here impresses with its modern paintwork and contemporary design.

Digitization & sound option

Equipped with a NEM 658 PluX22 interface, the train is ready for digitization. A PIKO sound decoder (#56599) can be retrofitted. The headlights change over with the direction of travel in white/red - even in push-pull operation in a realistic manner.
