Piko 52146 H0 Diesel locomotive T 669, CSD, Ep. IV - Powerful six-axle locomotive for heavy shunting service

With the Piko 52146 diesel locomotive T 669, PIKO brings a detailed model of one of the most famous shunting locomotives of the ČSD into the world of H0 DC layouts. The striking six-axle locomotive with its imposing design was originally designed for export to the Soviet Union and was later also widely used in Czechoslovakia - especially in large shunting yards and in industrial applications.

Historical shunting legend from Prague

The T 669 is based on the CKD export models ČME and was introduced under the designation T669.0 after successful tests at ČSD. The successor series T669.1 was created due to high demand. The locomotives were later produced at ZTS Dubnica in Slovakia and quickly became an integral part of ČSD's heavy shunting and transfer traffic.

Sturdy construction with high tractive power

The model impresses with a heavy die-cast zinc frame which, in conjunction with a powerful motor with two flywheels, ensures excellent running characteristics. Four axles are driven, one wheel set per bogie is equipped with a traction tire - arranged diagonally - for the best possible traction and prototype fidelity.

Digitally prepared - ready for sound retrofitting

The locomotive is equipped with a NEM 658 PluX22 interface and is prepared for retrofitting with the PIKO sound decoder (#56542). The direction of travel-dependent light change in white/red is part of the standard equipment and ensures an authentic appearance on the layout.

Ideal for Era IV layouts with an Eastern European focus

With a running length of 199 mm and a minimum radius of 358 mm, the model is ideal for authentic operating scenarios in the Czech Republic, Slovakia or for international scenarios with CSD participation.
