Piko 52147 H0 Diesellok T 669, CSD, Ep. IV, DC-Sound Product Details
Piko 52147 H0 Diesel Locomotive T 669, CSD, Ep. IV, DC Sound - Heavy Shunting Power from Czechoslovakia
With the Piko 52147 T 669 diesel locomotive, PIKO brings a striking model of the ČSD from Era IV to your H0 DC layout. The heavyweight six-axle locomotive based on the CKD Prague development was originally designed for export and soon became indispensable in the shunting yards of Czechoslovakia. Equipped with a powerful drive and a factory sound decoder, the model impresses with its prototypical performance and realistic appearance.
Historic prototype with a strong export history
The T 669 is based on the ČME export locomotives for the Soviet Union and became the standard machine for heavy shunting service after successful tests with the ČSD. With its characteristic design, long front end and six-axle chassis, it became a symbol of robust diesel traction in Czechoslovakia. The T669.1 series was created from extensions to the ČSD from 1967.
Heavy construction meets modern technology
The PIKO model is based on a precisely manufactured, heavy die-cast zinc frame, which ensures a high tractive force. The powerful motor with two flywheels drives four of the six axles. One traction tire per bogie, arranged diagonally, ensures optimum traction - even under demanding conditions. This makes the locomotive ideal for realistic shunting and transfer services.
State-of-the-art sound and technology
The factory-fitted PSD XP sound decoder provides authentic engine sounds and numerous additional functions. The direction of travel-dependent light change in white/red rounds off the technical equipment. An NEM 658 PluX22 digital interface and NEM shaft with close coupler link ensure digital flexibility and prototypical coupling distances.
Ideal for Eastern European layout concepts
With a length over buffers of 199 mm and a minimum radius of 358 mm, the T 669 is versatile - whether in typical CSD shunting operations or in industrial railroad scenarios of the 1970s and 80s. This model is a must for fans of Eastern European railroad history.
Secure now - Czech shunting legend with sound and tractive power
Bring a powerful diesel model with authentic sound to your Era IV layout with the Piko 52147 T669 of the CSD. Now available in the model railroad store - for realistic operation with character!
