With the Piko 52377 DE18 diesel locomotive in the SBB Cargo International version, PIKO presents an ultra-modern DC model with impressive attention to detail and authentic sound. The model exactly reproduces the typical proportions, precise lettering and eye-catching color scheme of SBB Cargo International. This means that the locomotive fits perfectly into modern train formations of Era VI and impresses with its striking design, which immediately catches the eye in rail operations.

Powerful drive for versatile use

A powerful motor drives all four wheel sets via two cardan shafts and guarantees reliable running characteristics even on longer trains. Two traction tires provide additional traction, while the close coupler link with NEM shaft makes the car transition realistic.

Sound & light - integrated at the factory

PIKO equips the model with a factory-installed PSD XP sound decoder, which reproduces the operating reality perfectly with its authentic sound. The sound is reproduced via an integrated loudspeaker. The locomotive also has digitally switchable cab lighting and a light change in white/red depending on the direction of travel - a highlight for night operation or in station scenes.

Technically solid and visually impressive

The DE18 measures 196 mm over buffers, is suitable for radii from 358 mm and is therefore also suitable for demanding track layouts. Its high-quality workmanship, combined with technical reliability and modern design, makes it the ideal choice for Era VI layouts with a focus on freight traffic.
