Piko 52586 H0 Diesellok BR V200 1001, DR, Ep. III, „Messe Leipzig“, AC-Sound Product Details
Piko 52586 H0 Diesel locomotive class V200 1001, DR, Ep. III, "Leipzig Trade Fair", AC sound - innovation meets design
With the Piko 52586 V200 1001 diesel locomotive in the "Leipzig Trade Fair" version, you can bring a truly unique piece of GDR railroad history to your H0 AC layout. This special design of the V 180 series was introduced in 1965 as a technical and design experiment and served not only as a long-term test for new materials, but also to present a modern locomotive design.
Historical model with a futuristic appearance
The V200 1001 was one of the few locomotives with a fiberglass-reinforced polyester body and a strikingly designed, glare-free front section. The PIKO model faithfully reproduces this unusual design - including the inclined front windows and the characteristic roof design. The locomotive bears the striking "Messe Leipzig" lettering and is an absolute eye-catcher on any Era III layout.
Equipped with a modern sound decoder at the factory
PIKO has equipped this AC model with a powerful PluX22 sound decoder (PSD XP), which is already installed at the factory. The realistic sound, combined with digitally switchable driver's cab lighting and the light change in white/red depending on the direction of travel, brings life and atmosphere to your model railway layout.
Technology and attention to detail at the highest level
The locomotive is designed for use on all standard H0 AC layouts. With a clearance of 224 mm and a minimum radius of 358 mm, it offers full compatibility in operation. Two traction tires ensure high tractive power, while the NEM shaft coupling with close coupler link guarantees realistic car spacing and reliable connections.
Unique item with history - perfect for collectors and technology fans
The "Messe Leipzig" locomotive stands for the technical innovations of GDR engineering. As a unique item, it is a must-have, especially for collectors of special models and fans of historical railroad prototypes. At the same time, it is fully operational for daily use on Era III layouts.
