Piko 52839 diesel locomotive Typ 260, SNCB, Ep. III (incl. sound) AC current/AC

Version of the class 260 in the design of a type 260 SNCB diesel locomotive in Era III.

The PIKO model impresses with the successful mold construction without disturbing mold parting edges and the harmonious implementation of all relevant details of the prototype machine. The PIKO model of the shunting locomotive has straight, precisely aligned platforms, a buffer tank for silky-smooth shunting movements without unwanted power interruptions and lighting by means of LEDs. The cab lighting and the front and rear lights that work depending on the direction of travel can be controlled digitally with a PluX22 decoder. The heavy model with a die-cast zinc frame has a five-pole motor for excellent running characteristics and high tractive forces. An mfx®-capable PluX22 sound decoder is integrated in the sound version ex works. In the period from 1958 to 1962, 69 machines of the Bundesbahn V60 series were produced under license in Belgium. The machines corresponded optically and technically to the German version. The PIKO model shows the delivery condition, with large, round lamps in the classic colors of the SNCB of Era III.
