Trix 22470 H0 Diesellok BR 217, DB, Ep. IV, DC-MFX-Sound Product Details
Trix 22470 - H0 Diesel locomotive class 217, DB (Era IV)
The Trix 22470 is a highly detailed model of the German Federal Railroad class 217 diesel locomotive in the typical appearance from 1974. With its purple-red basic paint scheme and road number 217 018-1, this locomotive is an example of the heavy passenger and freight train service of Era IV. Equipped with extensive digital technology and many light functions, it offers everything that demanding DC model railroaders expect.
The class 217 was designed for mixed operation and could take on both mainline and shunting duties. With this model you get the perfect combination of performance, versatility and attention to detail on your H0 layout.
Technical details & equipment
The locomotive has a controlled high-performance drive with a centrally installed flywheel. All four axles are powered and traction tires provide additional tractive power. The digital decoder is DCC, mfx and RailCom compatible and offers extensive sound and light functions.
The equipment includes a three-light headlights dependent on the direction of travel and two red marker lights, which can be switched off separately on locomotive sides 1 and 2. There is also a double A-light function, direction-dependent cab lighting and separate digitally switchable engine room lighting. All light sources are equipped with maintenance-free warm white and red LEDs. A buffer memory ensures reliable operation even in the event of a brief power failure.
Design & true to the original
The chassis and body are made of metal and give the model a realistic weight. Metal handle bars on the sides and front as well as attached brake lines and screw couplings (included) provide additional authenticity. The kinematic close couplers allow close coupling distances and the buffer height complies with the NEM standard.
Who is this model suitable for?
The Trix 22470 is designed for advanced DC model railroaders who are looking for an efficient and prototypical model of Era IV. Whether in heavy mainline service or in regional service - this locomotive cuts an excellent figure in any situation.
