Trix 22646 H0 Diesellok BR 218, DB/CB, Ep. IV, DC-MFX-Sound Product Details
Trix 22646 H0 Class 218 Diesel Locomotive, DB/CB, DC Sound - German Federal Railroad Color Classic from 1985
The Trix 22646 class 218 diesel locomotive brings a particularly striking color version of the German Federal Railroad to the H0 layout. The locomotive with the road number 218 140-2 appears in the striking pure orange/pebble gray paint scheme as it was used from the mid-1980s - both in intercity and local service. A successful mixture of nostalgic design and modern digital technology for Era IV.
Solid construction and powerful drive
The chassis and body are made entirely of metal and ensure a high level of stability. The controlled high-performance drive with flywheel drives all four axles and guarantees smooth running characteristics and reliable tractive power. Traction tires provide additional traction on demanding routes.
Modern lighting technology and extensive functions
The locomotive has a three-light headlamp that is dependent on the direction of travel and two red marker lights that can be switched digitally. The headlights can be deactivated separately on each side of the locomotive. A double A light function, digitally switchable engine room and cab lighting as well as warm white and red LEDs provide an authentic light display for day and night operation.
Digital technology at the highest level
A powerful digital decoder with DCC, mfx and RailCom compatibility provides a wide range of sound and light functions. An integrated buffer memory temporarily bridges powerless track sections and ensures smooth operation even on complex layouts.
Fine details for realistic scenes
Metal handrails on the sides and front as well as enclosed brake hoses and screw couplings make this locomotive the perfect model for the higher scale. With a buffer height according to NEM and kinematics-guided close couplers, it is ideally suited for realistic train formations.
