Prototype: German Federal Railroad (DB) class 103 electric locomotive. Version with a "short" engineer's cab, single-arm pantographs, and buffer covering. Orient red basic paint scheme. Road number 103 144-2. State of operation as of 1989.Model: The locomotive has a digital decoder and extensive sound functions. The locomotive has controlled high-efficiency propulsion with a centrally mounted flywheel. Two axles in each bogie powered through cardan shafts. Traction tires. The three-light headlights and two red marker lights change over with the direction of travel and will work in conventional operation, but can be controlled digitally. The headlights on Locomotive End 2 and 1 can be turned off separately in digital operation. The cab lighting changes over with the direction of travel and the engine room lighting can be controlled digitally. Maintenance-free warm white and red LEDs are used for the lighting. The pantographs can be raised and lowered digitally. Movable engineer's figure in both cabs can be controlled digitally. Separately applied imitation wheels, grab irons, windshield wipers, UIC sockets, and roof wires. Buffer height according to NEM. Slightly aged operating condition. Brake lines, steps, and screw couplers are included as separately applied parts. Length over the buffers approx. 22.4 cm.Highlights The pantographs can be raised and lowered digitally.
