The rapid increase in mass motorization in the 1960s required safe traffic monitoring and control at problematic traffic junctions in large cities. Such towers were used to monitor and control traffic. The model's prototype was able to manually intervene in the control of traffic lights for streetcars, trolleybuses and cars as required. If the technology failed, traffic control was carried out conventionally by a traffic police officer on a platform in the middle of the intersection. Both scenarios can be recreated using the matching unpainted figures supplied.
