Bemo 1255155 H0m electric locomotive Ge 6/6 I 415 "Rhaetian Crocodile", RhB, Era VI
The Bemo 1255155 H0m electric locomotive Ge 6/6 I 415, known as the "Rhaetian Crocodile", is a precise replica of the legendary electric locomotive of the Rhaetian Railway (RhB) in Era VI. This model combines historic railroad technology with modern features and allows model train enthusiasts an authentic representation of the current narrow-gauge operation of the RhB.
The prototype of the Ge 6/6 I
The Ge 6/6 I was built between 1921 and 1929 by the Swiss companies SLM, BBC and MFO for the Rhaetian Railway. A total of 15 of these C'C' bogie locomotives with an output of 1076 hp were built. They were instrumental in replacing the steam locomotives and proved themselves particularly well on the demanding Albula line. Some of the locomotives were distinguished by their additional roof resistors, which gave them a distinctive silhouette. These locomotives are not only technical masterpieces, but also an important part of the Rhaetian Railway's cultural heritage.
The Rhaetian Railway (RhB) in Era VI
In Era VI, which begins in 2007, the RhB presents itself as a modern transport company that combines tradition and innovation. Historic locomotives such as the Ge 6/6 I are maintained and used on special trips to preserve the cultural heritage. At the same time, the RhB relies on modern technology and contemporary operating procedures in order to meet the requirements of today's rail traffic.
Model maintenance and technical modernization
Bemo has extensively modernized the Ge 6/6 I model. In addition to improved technology, the model now has LED lighting and a digital interface in accordance with the Next18 standard. For the first time, the digital version is also available with sound, which makes the driving experience on the model railway layout even more realistic. The locomotive also has cab lighting.
Technical details of the model
The locomotive is designed for the H0m gauge on a scale of 1:87 and has a length over buffers of 153 mm. It is designed for the 2-wire direct current system and has a Next18 interface for optional digitization. LED lighting ensures realistic light changes in the direction of travel. The minimum radius for using this locomotive is 330 mm. The model has its own coupler pocket, which ensures a secure connection with other vehicles.
Color scheme and design
The locomotive is presented in the current RhB color scheme, which is typical for Era VI. This authentic design makes the model an eye-catcher on any H0m model railway layout.
Quality and driving characteristics
Bemo attaches great importance to the quality of its models. The Ge 6/6 I 415 impresses with its precise workmanship, fine engravings and a detailed replica of the prototype. The robust construction and the use of high-quality materials guarantee a long service life and ensure a realistic driving experience on the model railway layout.
Expansion options and accessories
The model can be retrofitted with a digital decoder for the Next18 interface to enable better control. A sound module is also available to provide an even more realistic soundscape. Matching RhB passenger and freight cars complement the locomotive perfectly and make it possible to build authentic train formations. Spare parts and detailing sets are also available to make individual adjustments.
Recommended purchase for model railroaders
The Bemo 1255155 H0m electric locomotive Ge 6/6 I 415 is an excellent choice for model railroaders who value authenticity and quality. With its detailed reproduction, modern technical features and high-quality workmanship, it enriches every H0m layout and enables a realistic representation of RhB operation in Era VI. This model is a worthwhile investment for both collectors and active model railroaders.

Product advantages
The Ge 6/6 I 415 impresses with its exact replica of the original, the high-quality workmanship and the precise printing. The robust design ensures a long service life and reliable operation on narrow-gauge railroads. Thanks to the optional digitalization options, the model can be flexibly integrated into analogue and digital systems, allowing a high degree of adaptability to different system configurations.
Care and maintenance
To ensure the longevity of the model, regular maintenance work should be carried out. It is advisable to remove dust and dirt from the wheels and running gear and to lubricate moving parts occasionally with suitable model railroad oil. The LED lighting is low-maintenance, but compatible spare parts should be used when replacing it. Direct sunlight and extreme temperature fluctuations should be avoided to prevent material fatigue and discoloration.
