Bemo 1259186 H0m electric locomotiveUniversallok "BÜGA" Ge 4/4 III 646, RhB, Ep. VI Product Details
Introduction
The Bemo 1259186 H0m electric locomotive universal locomotive "BÜGA" Ge 4/4 III 646 of the RhB, Era VI brings a current piece of everyday Grisons railroad life to your model railroad layout. This locomotive advertises the Graubünden General Abonnement (BÜGA) and was given a revised advertising design in July: On a white background, only the left half of the side is now covered with the familiar motif - a striking, modern look that clearly stands out from previous advertising locomotives. As a universal locomotive, the Ge 4/4 III is used almost everywhere in Graubünden - and is just as versatile in the model.
Design & workmanship
The model impresses with its current paintwork with partial BÜGA advertising and has been realized with a high level of detail. The sharply contoured printing and the authentic color scheme on the white locomotive body make this locomotive a real eye-catcher. The clean finish, the finest engravings and applied details such as roof lines and fan grille ensure a realistic appearance in H0m scale.
Technical features & special functions
Even though the model has an analogue design at the factory, it can be easily digitized thanks to the Next18 interface. The LED lighting with white light change ensures prototypical illumination, while the driving characteristics are impressive thanks to the proven Bemo quality. The universal locomotive is therefore both a visual and technical highlight for all fans of the RhB.
Historical background
The Ge 4/4 III 646 is part of a series of ten universal locomotives that have been in service on the Rhaetian Railway since the 1990s. They handle both passenger and freight trains on the RhB's extensive narrow-gauge network. The "BÜGA" design refers to the Graubünden General Abonnement, which allows residents and tourists to travel through the region at low cost - a strong signal for sustainable public transport in the Alps.
Compatibility & expansion options
The locomotive can be ideally combined with RhB passenger coaches and freight wagons and fits perfectly into typical Era VI train sets. Due to the minimum radius of 330 mm, it can be used on almost all H0m layouts. The in-house coupling receptacle ensures a reliable connection with other Bemo vehicles.
Scope of delivery
The electric locomotive Ge 4/4 III 646 is supplied in the BÜGA design, fully assembled and ready for analog use, including all molded details and equipped with LED lighting.
Purchase arguments & target group
This locomotive is aimed at all model railroaders who would like to use modern RhB vehicles in their collection or on their layout. The current design, combined with the universal usability of the Ge 4/4 III, makes the locomotive a flexible and at the same time striking model. Collectors, RhB fans and operators of contemporary Alpine railway layouts will find a real highlight here.
