BEMO presents the high-quality 2022 annual wagon, a prototypical DFB Uhk 2872 tank wagon on a scale of 1:87.
The last Uhk 2872 wagon used as a fuel tank wagon, built in 1948, was handed over by the Matterhorn-Gotthard Railway (MGB) to the Furka-Bergstrecke steam railroad (DFB) in 2021. The carriage was originally used to transport jet fuel for Air Zermatt. It is currently used by the DFB as a water transport wagon between Realp and Tiefenbach to ensure the water supply at Tiefenbach station on dry days. The wagon is driven downhill by the MGB HGm 4/4, a diesel locomotive that is leased to DFB during the summer season, filled and brought back to Tiefenbach.
