The second generation of newly built cars—RhB comfort starting in 1975

Between 1975 and 1980, the Rhaetian Railway acquired numerous Einheitswagen II cars for its main network as well as for service on FO/BVZ routes. The A 1263–1270 series offered significantly more comfort: wider seat spacing, better sound and thermal insulation, and a modernized car layout. The A 1266 represents a car with the original technical block—authentic for trains from this operating period.

The perfect addition for prototypical train formations

This standard car can be perfectly combined with other vehicles from the EW II series—such as 1st/2nd-class (AB) cars or all-2nd-class (B) cars. With its red paint scheme and yellow brake corners, the car blends seamlessly into typical RhB train sets from the 1970s through the 1990s.

Faithful reproduction in H0m scale

The model features a length over buffers of 212 mm and is designed for a minimum curve radius of 330 mm. The lettering, window layout, and roof shape are based exactly on the prototype. Bemo places particular emphasis on authentic reproduction—for example, the A 1266 is labeled with the old technical block, in contrast to the A 1264, which is available at the same time and features the more modern “Futura Bold” font.
