About the model: The flat car Xw, DRG, belonging to Era II is a high-quality model from the BRAWA brand. The car was manufactured on a scale of 1:87 and impresses with its high-quality appearance and numerous features such as metal wheels and extra handrails and signal holders.
About the prototype: Although their load weight was lower than that of the newer Gm and Glm wagons, Bavaria could not do without the older G wagons. The limited load capacity did not play a role, especially when transporting lighter piece goods, e.g. the products of the extensive glass industry in the Bavarian Forest. After 1912, the older wagons also received the red-brown livery and were assigned to the newly created "Regensburg" class. All wagons with a load weight of less than 15 tons were gathered here.
