Description

Brawa 49136 H0 Container Car BTmms58, with Dikr 602 "From Door to Door," DB, Era III Product Details

Brawa 49136 H0 Container Car BTmms58, with Dikr 602 "Door-to-Door," DB, Ep. III

Are you looking for a classic container car for your H0 layout that impressively depicts the general cargo transport of the Deutsche Bundesbahn? The Brawa 49136 H0 BTmms58 container car with Dikr 602 "Von Haus zu Haus," DB, Era III, is a highly detailed model for Era III freight trains.

The model depicts a BTmms58 container car with five containers in the well-known “Von Haus zu Haus” configuration. This unique loading configuration makes the car ideal for realistic freight transport scenes, switching yards, freight terminals, and delivery operations on the model railroad layout.

DB BTmms58 container car

The BTmms58 was derived from the BTms55, which was designed to carry four pa containers. In 1958, the SEAG company built two prototypes: one made of light metal and one made of ST 52 steel. The further-developed car could now be loaded with five pa containers.

The increased number of containers improved the specific load weight, which enabled the carrier to offer more favorable freight rates. The steel prototype proved its worth and was further developed to series production readiness, allowing series production to begin in 1960.

With five removable containers

The car features a die-cast zinc frame and is equipped with five removable containers. Each container bears an individual road number, giving the model a particularly varied and prototypical appearance.
