The Brawa 50315 H0 DB KKds 55 dust container car from Era III is a fascinating model for fans of the 1950s. This car represents the further development of the German Federal Railroad's dust hopper cars, which were completely redesigned based on the experience with the KKd 49. The KKds 55 wagons, of which only 24 were produced, were designed for transporting alumina and aluminum oxide.The wagon is characterized by its innovative design: The dust containers are an integral part of the wagon frame, which rests on two robust type 931 Minden-Dorstfeld bogies. The absence of internal longitudinal beams meant that the container floors could be drawn deep, which enabled efficient transportation of the fine goods. The four silo containers are equipped with emptying devices and loosening floors, which convey the load out of the containers using compressed air.This model brings a piece of railroad history to your layout and offers a realistic depiction of a special wagon that was in use until 1998 and was occasionally also used by private companies. Ideal for model railroaders who want to authentically recreate a piece of the industrial and logistical development of the 1950s.
