Brawa 51267 H0 GGrhs boxcar, DR, Ep. III - Authentic model for transporting grain
With the German State Railroad (DR) GGrhs boxcar, you can bring a piece of railroad history from the 1950s to your model railroad layout. This precisely manufactured model is the perfect addition for freight trains and rural scenes that realistically depict agricultural grain transportation in the GDR. The high-quality detailing and robust construction make this wagon a must-have for discerning collectors and model railroaders.
A historical role model from the GDR - The GGrhs in its role in grain transportation
In the 1950s, the GDR optimized its transport capacities by building modern freight wagons such as the GGrhs. This wagon was a further development of the GGths Bromberg and was specially designed for the efficient transportation of grain. The reduction of the door width to 1.5 meters and the shorter design ensured optimum use of the loading volume in relation to the payload.
Between 1954 and 1957, VVB LOWA produced a total of 1,655 of these wagons, which were characterized by a high degree of flexibility in use. They were equipped with loading hatches, roof running boards and unloading sliders, which made it easier to transport and unload large quantities. Many of the wagons remained in use until the 1990s, which underlines their high quality and durability.
High-quality replica with the finest details
The model of the GGrh from Brawa is characterized by its meticulous attention to detail. From the fine board joints to the precisely reproduced brake systems and axle bearing covers, every component has been carefully reproduced. The precise printing and paintwork ensure a prototypical appearance that will delight even the most discerning collectors.
The wide range of variants with different roof track designs and brakeman's platforms makes the model particularly attractive and versatile. Thanks to its close coupling kinematics in accordance with the NEM standard, the car can be easily integrated into existing train formations.
Ideal addition for agricultural or industrial scenarios
This covered freight wagon is ideal for use in historic freight trains that transport agricultural produce. Whether on rural branch lines or in industrial reloading stations - the GGrhs brings authenticity and variety to your H0 layout.
