Brawa 51312 H0 Gedeckter Güterwagen G, DR, Ep. IV, Simson Product Details
Brawa 51312 H0 Covered freight wagon G, DR, Era IV, Simson - Historic advertising wagon with GDR cult mark
Would you like to add an authentic piece of GDR freight traffic with a striking look to your model railroad layout? The Brawa 51312 type G boxcar, used on the German State Railroad with "Simson" advertising, combines classic unit construction with East German industrial culture - a highlight for all Era IV fans.
Finely detailed model with striking lettering
With a length over buffers of 107 mm and close coupler kinematics according to NEM, the model is ideal for compact freight trains. The finely reproduced board joints, openwork car body supports and the precise lettering and paintwork underline the high level of detail. The car is technically impressive with optimized three-point bearings, multi-part Kkg brake system, extra signal brackets, axle bearing covers and brake shoes at wheel level. Road number: 21 50 112 3053-3.
The Prototype - The Union Car Lives On
The covered freight wagon G is based on the DWV model sheet A2, which served as the basis for hundreds of thousands of wagons from 1911. Despite their pre-war design, many vehicles survived on the German Reichsbahn in the GDR until well into the 1980s - often modernized and still in regular use.
Simson - GDR cult on wheels
The advertising lettering "Simson" refers to the well-known vehicle manufacturer from Suhl, whose mopeds such as the Schwalbe achieved cult status. Such private inscriptions on covered goods wagons were typical of DR operations and make this model an eye-catching addition to any train set.
Perfect for freight trains in Eastern Bloc style
Whether in transfer traffic, in mixed freight trains or in station shunting service - this car is ideal for Era IV train scenes in the GDR. Can be combined with locomotives such as the class 106, class 110 or class 118 as well as with other DR covered or open cars.
A model with history and character
The Brawa 51312 combines classic railroad technology with the emotional advertising culture of the GDR. A real highlight for collectors, model builders and friends of East German railroad history.
