Brawa 58225 H0 electric loco 211, DR, Ep. IV, DC-Sound Product Details
Brawa 58225 H0 Electric locomotive 211, DR, Era IV, DC sound - The first new electric locomotive of the GDR in top digital quality
Are you looking for a model steeped in history with modern technology for your DC layout? The Brawa 58225 electric locomotive 211 of the German Reichsbahn of the GDR combines historical significance with the finest model realization. Equipped with LokSound and a PluX22 interface, it is ready for demanding digital operation in Era IV scenarios.
Technically strong and true to the original
This locomotive is fully equipped for high-performance digital operation: With Doehler & Haass decoder, built-in LokSound, two flywheels, two traction tires and light change including driver's cab lighting (Digital EXTRA). A special highlight: the integrated interior lighting, which provides a realistic operating atmosphere. The PluX22 interface makes future extensions particularly easy.
Accurate detail right up to the roof
The finely detailed running gear, the free-standing roof lines and the color-coordinated, multi-part roof equipment set new standards in terms of prototype fidelity. The frame and wheels are made of metal, as are the pantographs - even if they do not have a current collection function. Extra windshield wipers round off the harmonious appearance. This version does not have close coupler kinematics - but it does have an NEM mount for your desired coupler.
Historical background: The origin of GDR electric locomotive technology
The locomotive is based on the famous E11, which was the first new electric locomotive in the GDR to be delivered by LEW Hennigsdorf from 1960. Originally built as test locomotives E11 001 and 002, the findings from the trials were incorporated directly into the series production of the E11 and E42. The locomotive with the road number 211 001-3 can still be seen today in the DB Museum Halle/Saale - a real technical monument with a high recognition value.
For high-performance operations in Era IV
With a length over buffers of 187 mm and a minimum radius of 360 mm, the model is versatile - whether in heavy express train or freight service on branch and main lines of your layout. The powerful motorization ensures smooth running, even with long trains.
A must for everyone who wants to experience history on the model railroad
The Brawa 58225 electric locomotive 211 impresses with its technical finesse, historical authenticity and digital equipment. Ideal for DC drivers who value the highest level of detailing, full sound enjoyment and a striking prototype.
