PC-Rail is a graphics program for planning model railway layouts: easy to use, intelligently structured and extremely precise. A complete model railroad layout is created on the screen in no time at all. With everything that goes with it: tracks, signals, buildings, landscapes, etc. Rails are displayed true to the original with sleepers. Landscapes, accessories etc. can be designed in color. The most important program features can be found under "Features".

Functions: Track planning in up to 8 levels, which can be displayed in different colors and edited separately. A wizard simplifies the drawing of the base plate. Insert, copy, rotate and delete tracks and accessories. For tracks with several connection points (e.g. points), the connection points can be swapped. Flexible tracks can be bent and changed in length. The "Close" function automatically connects two track ends with suitable rails. The most suitable rails are automatically selected by the program. Track gaps can also be closed with flex tracks. Any track combinations (station tracks, track harps, etc.) can be saved and inserted into track plans. Individual tracks or track combinations can be moved, rotated and attached to other track segments. The track and accessory editor can be used to design any tracks and accessory elements (such as buildings, lake or landscape parts, etc.). Wizards support the creation of base plates, straight tracks, curves, buffer stops, turnouts, double turnouts, curved turnouts, crossings, transfer tables and turntables. Clearance gauge: Trains can symbolically run over the tracks. This allows you to check whether, for example, wagon overhangs in curves touch platforms or buildings. The tracks can be displayed as a single line, double line or realistically with sleepers. An info window provides information on the installed track length and layout size. Parts lists can be printed or exported for further processing with other programs. Versatile print output with automatic scaling of the track plan to the available paper size. Alternatively, any scale (up to a scale of 1:1) can be defined, in which case PC-RAIL will print a corresponding number of individual sheets. All standard Windows printers (including color printers) are supported.
