Busch 42870 Mobilbagger T174-2 (gelb) Product Details
"...who is still digging at the excavator hole so late..."
The introduction of the Weimar mobile excavator T174 (VEB Weimar Werk) began as early as 1965. Continuous design changes led to the type designations "T 174.1, T 174.2 and T 174.2A". However, there was only one really significant change. With the series introduction of the T 174.2 from 1974, additional hydraulic outriggers were fitted after the undercarriage had been redesigned. Even today, the excavators are still used in agriculture, construction and other branches of industry.
The actually monstrous excavators, whose prototypes have a menacing appearance, look rather dainty and endearing in the model. Highly intricate articulated parts, ladders and hinges turn them into top-class collector's models. Fully movable articulated parts, whose hydraulic linkages are painted silver, as well as the cabin section that can rotate all round are of course a matter of course.
The model with fully movable grapple and hydraulic support on the undercarriage has been lovingly realized in miniature. The lettering and ventilation grilles are printed extremely thinly so that every diamond on the wire grille can almost be seen with the naked eye. Even the safety texts and warnings on the articulated arms are flawlessly printed and lend the models their full authenticity. The coarse-tread tires support off-road mobility and ensure that nothing stands in the way of use on rough H0 terrain.
