GDR technology meets Romanian development
The TIH 445 is based on the T 159 mobile crane developed in the GDR and was later further developed in Romania at the "7th November" agricultural machinery factory in Craiova. The robust mobile crane with front-wheel drive, rear steering, rotating boom and powerful three-cylinder diesel engine (33.1 kW/45 hp) was a real all-rounder with numerous tool attachments. The version with timber grapple was mainly used in forestry and timber handling.
