ESPEWE 95191 IFA W50 MK "Auto Trans BE-Spedition"

The W50 was designed in over 70 basic variants with various superstructures. The W50L MK furniture van was used for long-distance transportation of furniture and bulky or large-volume goods. Vehicles with extended cabs were used on routes where additional accompanying personnel were required, such as furniture transportation. In addition to the W50L MK, a typical truck-trailer combination for furniture transportation included the matching furniture trailer from the HL70/80 series. Berliner Spedition und Ferntransport GmbH (BE SPED) is the successor company to the SFT (Spedition und Ferntransporte) division of the Auto Trans Berlin combine. Even though Mercedes-Benz vehicles were quickly acquired, the W50s used for furniture transportation before reunification were still in use for some time. New stickers with the current company name could often be seen next to the old Auto Trans lettering.
