The spare parts box (ETK) was also used as a superstructure for the L60 in addition to the W50. As these vehicles were built on all-wheel drive chassis, they were very off-road capable and had a large load volume.In the 1980s, a large proportion of the production output in Ludwigsfelde was used for export in order to earn foreign currency with the vehicles on W50 and L60 chassis. They were exported in significant numbers in the military version to countries such as Egypt, Iran and Iraq. They were very popular there due to the low procurement prices.In addition to export, the mobile workshops were also used in agriculture as service vehicles for the large numbers of combine harvesters available in the LPGs.
