ESU 36546 H0 Taschenwagen Sdggmrs, AAEC, Ep.VI 'COSCO, CHINA SHIPPING'

The articulated wagon known as TWIN I was the answer from wagon hire company AAE to the question of maximum flexibility in combined freight transport. The 34 m long wagons can carry 40 and 20-foot containers as well as craneable semi-trailers. Thanks to the particularly deep-drawn troughs, the six-axle wagons are even suitable for loading with modern megatrailers, unlike their predecessors. The wagons have support stands at the ends to secure the semi-trailers. These remain on the wagon, even when the next tour with containers takes place. The support beams for container transport are also always on board and are stored above the middle bogie when not in use. Compared to the disc-braked versions, the block-braked wagon has a three-ton higher payload. The maximum permissible speed is 120 km/h when empty and 100 km/h when loaded, regardless of the route class. The wagons are also used in combination with other types of combined transport. The doors of the containers can be opened to reveal the detailed interior.
