The steel industry required enormous quantities of ore - powerful and robust ore wagons were developed accordingly. The 6-axle cars included in the set with the inscription "Peine+Salzgitter" were used by the German Federal Railroad and were part of the scheduled block trains to the blast furnaces in Lower Saxony.
