The car set presents two precisely reproduced 4-axle VTG tank cars that were once in use on the German Federal Railroad. The detailed reproduction includes fittings, brake systems and VTG lettering, with different road numbers providing additional authenticity.
Built in 1972, the Uahs tank wagons (Zas from 1980) with an impressive capacity of 880 hl or 88 m³ were used as private wagons [P] by wagon hire companies in the service of many railroad administrations. These were specially designed for the transportation of heavy oil and mineral oil products and thus made a significant contribution to the logistics of the German Federal Railways.
