Lenz 40153-01 diesel locomotive Köf 2, DR, Ep. IV Product Details
The Köf II series was developed as a locomotive with low mass and power for light shunting service and was used on small stations from 1932. Köf stands for small locomotive with oil engine (oil in this case = diesel) and fluid transmission. The prototype of our Köf 4151 was delivered to the DRG as Kb 4151 (b for benzol engine) by Jung in 1934 and renamed Kg 4151 in 1940 after conversion to generator gas operation. The Köf 4151 was converted to a Deutz engine with fluid transmission in 1960. In 1967 came the equipment with air brake. Sometime in 1968 or later, it was re-designated as 321 018-4. Eleven years later, the Köf was retired. Its whereabouts are unknown.
