LGB 24743 G Dampflok Spreewald, Ep. VI, DC-MFX-Sound Product Details
A steam locomotive jewel returns - DEV's LGB "Spreewald" steam locomotive
The LGB 24743 "Spreewald" steam locomotive is a tribute to one of the most charming narrow gauge steam locomotives in Germany. This model was reissued on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the museum railroad of the German Railroad Association (DEV) and depicts the locomotive as it runs today between Bruchhausen-Vilsen and Asendorf on the first German museum railroad. With its rich history and faithful reproduction in Era VI, it is a must for every garden railroader with a sense of railroad tradition.
The eventful history of the "Spreewald"
The locomotive was built in 1917 by Jung in Jungenthal an der Sieg - originally for use on the Pillkaller Kleinbahn in East Prussia. After the turmoil of war, it finally came to the Spreewaldbahn and was operated by the Deutsche Reichsbahn as 99 5633. In 1971, she was allowed to leave for the West and found a new home with the DEV. It is still in service there today - lovingly maintained, with an eventful past and always a crowd-puller.
True to the original in Era VI
The model shows the locomotive in the color scheme and lettering of Era VI, as it is currently in operation on the DEV line. Particular attention is paid to the revision date of 25.02.2021, which has also been implemented prototypically. The implementation on a scale of 1:22.5 impresses with authentic details and high-quality workmanship. A real highlight for anyone who values historical accuracy.
Reliable technology for operation in the garden
The model is powered by a Bühler motor with ball bearings, which runs very smoothly and delivers high performance. Traction tires ensure optimum traction even over longer distances. The integrated mfx/DCC decoder offers a variety of digitally controllable light and sound functions - from authentic steam locomotive sounds to cab lighting.
Steam generator and energy storage included
Another technical highlight is the built-in steam generator, which can be switched on in digital mode. This makes the steam experience particularly realistic. An energy storage unit is also installed as standard, which ensures smooth operation even in the event of brief contact interruptions.
Compact size, great effect
With a length over buffers of 33 cm, the "Spreewald" is compact but impressive. It is ideal for smaller garden railroad layouts or as an addition to historic museum train compositions. The matching L41026 and L41036 cars are ideal for a stylish extension.
Scope of delivery
The scope of delivery includes the fully assembled DEV "Spreewald" steam locomotive with built-in mfx/DCC decoder, energy storage and steam generator. The model is ready for operation and suitable for indoor and outdoor use.
