Description

LGB 26593 G steam locomotive 99 5902, DR, Ep. IV, DC-MFX-sound Product Details

This finely detailed model in heavy metal construction represents the German State Railroad steam locomotive 99 5902 from Era IV. This model is a real highlight with many applied details and drive by two high-performance motors that drive all the driving wheel sets via coupling rods. The doors to the driver's cab and the smokebox door are functional, and the finely detailed Mallet-type running gear impresses with numerous details such as a complete linkage and the drive for the lubrication pump.

The true-to-original black/red paint scheme and lettering correspond to the historic use of the locomotive by the DR. All the differences compared to the version of the locomotive in modern times are authentically reproduced, including the missing air pump, as the locomotive was equipped with a vacuum pump. The different line routing on the boiler is also authentically reproduced.

Equipped with an mfx/DCC decoder, the model offers many light and sound functions, including headlights, cab lighting, driving sounds, a whistle and bell that can be activated by a reed switch, and much more. The driving sound is also functional in analog operation. A built-in smoke generator with wheel-synchronized steam output as well as cylinder steam and steam output on the whistle complete the authentic model. There are digitally switchable LGB system couplers at both ends that can be removed. Spring buffers and a length over buffers of 40 cm make this high-end model an impressive collector's item for fans of historic steam locomotives.
