The LGB 28516 diesel locomotive 251 901-5 brings a traditional narrow gauge locomotive in its modernized form to your garden railroad. This locomotive was originally built in 1964 and was put into service by the German Federal Railroad (DB) for 750 mm narrow gauge operation. Today it is used by the Rügensche BäderBahn (RüBB) in Putbus - in the current Era VI version with a new, attractive paint scheme in old red and nostalgically inspired lettering based on the 1968 model.

The model is equipped with an mfx/DCC sound decoder and offers numerous light and sound functions. The built-in energy storage unit ensures reliable operation even with brief contact interruptions. All axles are powered and additional traction tires significantly improve traction. The locomotive has directional headlights (white), separately switchable cab lighting and detailed interior details. The driver's cab doors can be opened - for even more realism.

The model is based on the class 251 with the axle arrangement B'B' and is designed for use in the 2-conductor direct current system. Thanks to the robust technology and the high level of detail, this locomotive is not only suitable as a showpiece, but is also ideal for active operation on the garden railroad. The locomotive also runs in analog operation with a working running sound, which makes it particularly versatile.
